do your rail fence same as always, mix up the colours if you like

remember to trace the shapes reversed onto your fusible web 1st before drawing

prepare your applique pieces

I always like to lay everything out to make sure it sits well. Also, I’m not sure why Lynette says to cut the background bigger because you may get your pieces too close to the edge you will eventually cut off. Make note of this before your fuse your pieces down…don’t fuse yet

Make all of the stitching lines onto the pieces after you remove the fusible web but before you fuse to the background.
