Hi Everyone, I’ve been trying to get my first two rows of completed blocks sewn together but my July has turned into my Hubby kidnapping me for holidays for the past two weeks so I’m a bit behind. I’ve finished the patchwork on block 7 and 8 so I would have something to stitch during these two weeks of being away…life’s been good I LOVE the stitching part 🙂
beautiful fabrics for block 7
cut and sort according to mini blocks
sew first row together, then last row together, then connect these two to the center piece
make your half square triangles, press seams open
take the time to square up each half square triangle block
get all of your rows in the right place according to your diagram, then start sewing the rows together vertically, then horizontally, pressing seams open as you go to relieve bulk.
here’s the back, pressing seams open helps the block to lay nice and flat.
sew the three rows together then attach
sew first column together, sew top two pieces in the third column together then connect to the other pieces in this column, add the two light pink side borders then the first column section.
get out your light box and your trusty pigma pen, mark your stitching, put on a good movie and relax with your beautiful floss, sharp scissors and gold eye needles…
Here’s my finished block 7
I haven’t pressed this one yet but it’s done, none the less 🙂
